What We Do
Hawaii School Calendar brings the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education’s statewide school dates together in one place. Families can view the monthly calendar, school breaks, student no-school days, semester and quarter dates, and important school-specific notes on the homepage.
Which Schools Are Covered?
Hawaiʻi’s Department of Education operates a unified statewide public school district. This site covers its statewide calendar. Holomua Elementary and public charter schools follow separate calendars and are excluded from the dates shown here.
Some details depend on a student’s island, school, or grade. Institute Day is one student no-school day per island within the printed window, with the island-specific date to be determined. Two additional school-planning and collaboration days do not have statewide dates. Senior schedules may also differ from the standard final student day. These conditions are explained alongside the calendar.
Official Sources
Our dates come from school calendars published by the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education. Each school year includes a link to its original DOE calendar, the source version, and the date we last checked the information. See Sources & Corrections for how we handle updates.
Calendar Downloads
Choose a school year on the homepage to download its printable PDF or ICS calendar file. The downloads use the same statewide dates and include the school-specific conditions. Dates that have not been assigned to a particular day remain notes rather than being presented as confirmed closures.
Editorial Independence
Hawaii School Calendar is independently operated. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education, any school, or any government agency. The DOE links let readers check the original publications themselves.
Corrections & School Questions
If a date differs from a newer official publication, send the school year, date, and source link through our contact page. For enrollment, transportation, attendance, school events, or an island-specific Institute Day, contact your school or the Department of Education directly.
Always confirm dates that affect travel, childcare, or attendance with the official source and your school.
